Why is off-road diesel fuel blue?

From 01.01.2026, tax-exempt diesel (off-road diesel fuel) is blue. This is a common European marking system that the authorities have decided to introduce. The diesel fuel  itself is still in accordance with EN590 (European standard). Until 31.12.2025 this diesel fuel was green.
