Which analyses are included in an extended coolant analysis?

A short explanation of the extended coolant analysis package

An extended analysis includes ICP/elemental analysis, pH, nitrite, sulphate, reserve alkalinity, chlorides, calculated freezing point, hardness, oil test yes/no and Brix %.

The analysis package will typically be able to detect whether contaminants are present, such as seawater, exhaust gases, oil, or wear and corrosion metals

 

Note: In order to know what is contamination it is important to also test new, unused fluid for comparison
